This is a journey through the ‘play stage’ of my design process. I’ve been through the ‘find stage’ and come out with ways of which to explore the relationship between the cyclist and the driver. Cycle culture in Britain today is gathering increasingly more interested followers than ever before. Still with 90% of adults (across America and Britain) still not riding bikes, the most common reason for not doing so, is cycle safety. I am exploring ways in which cyclists and drivers can coexist in the same environment without the cyclist feeling intimidated and vulnerable on the roads. This blog is about my journey through prototyping physical aspects, as well as social experiments, assessing the impact of both in the studied environment.
